Praying for Our Beloved Troops

"For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!  Let your glory be over all the earth!... Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!  With God we shall do valiantly;
it is he who will tread down our foes."
Psalm 108:4-5, 12-13

May our Gracious and Mighty God grant our loved ones His help as they defend our freedom.  May we, as a nation and as the church, look to the One who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.  May we set our minds on things above and not on earthly things.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God!  He is the savior, He is the only savior, will you trust Him?

Special thanks to my sister (Jess), to SSG Jordan (also pictured above), and to all of the 25th  ID for your faithful service to our country.  We love you!

AIM4Asia: On Mission to End Sex Trafficking in Cambodia

For Those Interested in Learning More and Hearing From Those who are Survivors of Sex-Trafficking...

"Mein is the oldest child in her family and she felt the burden of her family’s survival was hers to bear. She lived with her family in a Vietnamese community named Svay Pak just outside the capitol city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Svay Pak was and still is infamous for the sexual trafficking of girls, some as a young as five years old. Her family was living in abject poverty. “I saw the terrible situation of my family and I could not stand it; we were so poor…Everyday creditors would knock on our door and ask my mother to pay back the loans she had taken out to support our family, but we had no money to pay them back. My father was an alcoholic. He beat my mother and neglected my my younger brothers. He drank our family into debt. I could not stand to watch my mother cry. I decided to sell myself to the brothel. It was a hard decision. I was fourteen at the time..."  Read More...

Join me in praying for the prevention, rescue, justice and restoration for those enduring the horrors of sex-trafficking.  Our God is Mighty to Save... May HE show Himself Great among the nations!

Isabella Grace loves shoes (Happy 1st Birthday!)...
Jamie Shaddix, Priscilla & Izzy at McCain/Palin Rally in Tidewater, VA on Monday...

Recommended Reading...

In order to continue preparing for my trip, I am reading the book "Terrify No More" by Gary Haugen.  You can get a used copy at www.amazon.com for just a few dollars. It is worth it as this is a must read in order to gain insight into the evil world of slavery, sex trafficking and police brutality.  I'm finalizing the prayer calendar as I type this post.  Please send me your email address so I can pass it on to you.  Thanks for your prayers.

Reclaimed Praise

Just a heads up... our "demo EP" (which basically means, our "non-professionally mixed recordings compiled on a CD with slightly less than the number of songs on a regular LP") is now out and available.  I had the pleasure of recording one of the songs I've written with some other artists this past summer.  You can order a copy online at: www.reclaimedpraise.com OR purchase a copy at Temple's Oasis Cafe for $5.

Exciting Game, Sad Loss

We enjoyed fun with parents (and half of New Orleans) at the Superdome Monday night.  Fabulous seats surrounded by entertaining individuals...
We kept Tony's parents out way past their (and ours) bedtime for their first NFL game experience... Pray for them as they are traveling back to Kentucky as I type.

Even with Bush's two punt return touchdowns, the Saints couldn't pull out the victory... but, we had fun.  :)

Vikings vs. Saints

We're excited for an eve in NOLA to cheer on the Saints this evening with Tony's parents!  Look for us on TV!

Please pray for me concerning a possible exploratory trip to SE Asia with a dear friend whose goal is in developing prevention materials and curriculum. The trip would be as soon as November. Your prayers are deeply appreciated!
