Quick Trip to NOLA

Monday morning I took Angela out of school a little early for a road trip down to New Orleans. She had an appointment with a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Ochsner to check some things out. We grabbed a quick bite to eat with my friend Ashley (whose hubby is deployed to the Middle East for a year) and her two girls beforehand. What a nice treat. Thankfully, our appointment was not traumatic (like a previous visit when initial symptoms arose). They are doing some blood work to rule out some possibilities, but she should be fine. Glad we went. Please pray for healing, thanks...
On the way back, we played 20 questions (which was hilarious) and made a pit stop at Dollar General for a treat. What did she want? Fake nails for her and her three sisters. For her brother she picked out combs and a bottle of mousse since his hair has gotten longer and more stylish... ha ha... We had a sweet time together...
Tuesday morning Tony and I both slept in until 7:15 AM! That is normally the time I'm dropping off my two youngest at their school! Our kids were all already up, dressed and waiting for us?!. Can you believe that?!. :) I made it in time for our two oldest who are in state standardized testing this week. Just my little two had tardies. Oh well. :) Meanwhile, the above picture was my morning view cutting through a neighboring subdivision (Lake Serene)... glorious...

THEN, later this morning we received news that our adoption court date has been scheduled for JUNE 4th! So PLEASE pray for favor as that day approaches. It is not uncommon for there to be court delays or multiple attempts in Ethiopia I hear. If all goes smoothly, we would travel to get our son 6-8 weeks later! Wow! In HIS time we rest... thanks for all your prayers. :)

Blog friends of mine are expecting to hear soon about their Ethiopian court date for the baby boy they are adopting. Meanwhile, they received word that little Micah contracted pneumonia. They have requested prayer for him. Thanks.

That's wonderful news about your court appointment and Angela's health report being good. I can't wait to follow your journey.

Congrats on your court date being so soon. We will be praying as well. Friends of ours have been waiting for a referral from Ethiopia for siblings for 3 years and still hoping that its soon. :) My goodness your kids go to school early. My daughters school doesn't begin until 8:50 in the morning. Then again, I think down there you might have more of a summer vacation. ?! Glad to heat you had a great time with Angela!
