Easter Weekend...

We enjoyed Easter baskets and activities on Saturday afternoon following the final Upward Soccer games...
Each basket came with a book picked out especially for them...

Awaiting the egg hunt...
Such anticipation...
Oh the screams of excitement...

A little help from PopPop...
Or big brother...
Time to decorate eggs...

Whiplash Tour of the Past Week Plus...

It's been a blur. I'm not even sure I remember what happened when, but here goes... This one here came home early one day with a mild upset stomach. She joined papa and I out for some of our favorite food at Sake Cafe...
One afternoon I ran to the church office for a quick errand. I made the kids hang out in the green room while I made some copies. When I returned, this is what I walked in on.... ha ha... The kids swinging on Amy and Mr. Gary having a blast... precious.
Titus has been a little more antsy than usual... perhaps sensing our upcoming move. I was loading up some stuff in the van and he raced over, jumped in, and made himself comfortable in my seat...
He knew I was about to leave town I suppose. :-)
Here are a few pictures from our trip to the International Justice Mission's annual Global Prayer Gathering in Washington, DC April 8-10...
Getting ready to board... sleep deprived....
Finally in DC after a mad dash to change planes in Atlanta... in our cab to the hotel...
Dinner Friday evening with friends old and new...
My sweet friend, Alice...
It was a powerful weekend, and one I may blog about separately one day... when time permits... Meanwhile, here's a part of our crew...
I left them Sunday, caught a ride with my dear friend Kate out for lunch and to the airport. Once I was checked in, I enjoyed a much needed latte...
From DC, I flew to Raleigh to join Tony for two days in Raleigh for SEBTS' trustee meetings. We are looking forward to serving there in the coming days...

Back at home... SO grateful for the opportunity to participate in those combined trips by my fabulous inlaws' coming to take care of the kids. What a blessing. Here's a picture of Joshua showing off his homework. He has come a long way in only 8 months!!! He is writing sentences!!!
Titus loves to ride with James...
This little guy was cracking me up (not uncommon). He eyed this suit and pleaded for me to buy it for him. He SO wanted to wear a tie "like papa" - ha ha. So, watch out for this guy on Easter Sunday!
This past weekend I took the kids to New Orleans. We played a couple hours at Sunshine Park on the NOBTS campus. Friends brought out their pet HEDGE HOG for the kids to play with. They had a blast...

We enjoyed dinner at Casa Garcia (yummy) with Scott, Dana & Joshua MacCord. What a treat to catch up! We ran by the Screen's house in Metairie for about an hour visit. The kids ran around the pool (begging to get in of course) and attacking Miss Stephanie and Mr. Chris with toy alligators and sharks...
Mr. Chris cut some flowers for us...

They LOVE Miss Stephanie...
Sunday morning we were able to worship with our FBC Kenner family...
The kids were deeply engaged with their Palm Sunday worksheets I'd made for them... ha.

Afterwards, a couple sweet friends (Gail and Beverly) purchased some Defend the Orphan CDs and had the kids autograph them. It was too cute.
We grabbed some grub at the mall food court. I gave them the options and guess what they chose! Thai food! Ha. That's my kids. Would rather have Thai food than pizza and they LOVE pizza. Funny. Honey chicken and vegetable fried rice. Yum.

We had a great time in New Orleans. Grateful for our friends there...
Monday afternoon, the kids were treated to a SALON experience... oh my, what a treat...
The girls all got their hair trimmed, as well as shampooed and dried. The boys, of course, had to have their fun... so they got shampooed as well...
Oh, and in the middle of it, we had to fit in a soccer game...
It was a fun family affair...

They loved the massage chair...

THANK YOU CALLEY HUDSON for a fabulous salon experience!!! ;-)

Ok, I'm tired...
