October 31st with the Merida's...

The kids had a blast getting dressed up in various costumes....
James the Pirate...
Angela the Ballerina Princess...
Jana the Southern Belle...
Victoria the Cat Woman...
Tony enjoyed dressing up as a 1995 High School State Champion Basketball Player... to which the kids responded, "Papa so silly..." We propped up a sign honoring Reformation Day... "95 Reeses" (vs. theses)... Martin Luther nailed these (not reeses candy but theses - ha!) to the wall centuries ago leading to the Protestant Reformation... Today we say:
* sola scriptura * sola fide * sola gratia * sola Christos * soli Deo Gloria *
The kids practically ran to every door with pure joy of showing off their costumes and collecting candy from the neighbors. It was hilarious. Even Titus had a costume... our little pumpkin....
Saturday morning was the final Upward Flag Football game of the year played at USM's stadium nicknamed 'The Rock'... James LOVED playing flag football! In fact, first thing he said on Sunday morning (the next day) was "Me watch football."

One of James' coaches explaining why a penalty flag was thrown on his last play... James' tackled the offensive player... oops... this is flag football, not tackle football... got to give him credit, he's aggressive - ha! :)

The girls, meanwhile, had fun running up and down the stadium...
