Happy Birthday, Jana!

Today we celebrated Jana's birthday...
I love reflecting on where God has brought us...
This is a picture from the first time we met our sweet daughter, Jana...
April 2009
Our first birthday together at home...
December 2009
Happy 9th birthday!
We had a "fancy" breakfast before school this morning...
Then, we got the kids out of school a little earlier for a "tea party"...
The boys (Sigmons & Meridas) played at the house while the girls had a special outing...
Getting costumes ready...

Time for tea...

They were absolutely adorable...

We "grown-ups" had our own table next to the birthday girl...

Mr. Manners came to give some instruction in etiquette...

As each girl received a cupcake, they took a moment to share something they liked about the birthday girl... I tried to record it, but the girls spoke too softly... I'll admit, we moms were a little teary eyed afterwards... The party favors were miniature tea sets... so fun!
When we were finished and full of tea and scones (well, speaking for the grown-up table at least), we headed back to the house to open presents...

Random "funny" gift slipped in... an inflatable miniature Good Year blimp... ha ha... from Babushka and Dedushka... ha

Birthday cookie cake...
Siblings...
Trying to figure out how to show "9" on their hands... ha ha...
Crazy faces...
Singing "happy birthday''.. twice...
Great day... Grateful for God's gracious gift of our sweet daughter!

Happy Birthday indeed! What a little lady she is becoming! I love Mr. Manners. Can he come to our house and help our kids with table manners?
