I had five little leprechauns running around last weekend (but failed to get a picture of them all with their hats... they were cute:-)... Here's one:
James and Angela went in for an eye check up...
We ordered a new pair of frame for Angela... her other ones actually broke the day of her appointment - how does that work?!.
James' eyes are doing well... cool dude that he is... we did discover that he has a floater and a scar on his retina (likely from birth trauma), but he does not need glasses...
Several from church have been working diligently on getting our new IDC gathering place ready for April...
James got to help put some furniture together... his joy!
A glimpse from our weekend seminar on human trafficking... great group.
We got to spend some time with dear friends - Scott, Chrissie & Skylar - over the weekend...
Dairy Queen cake...
Happy Birthday Chrissie!
Sunday afternoon we hosted growth group AND a crawfish boil! I also forgot to mention that we kept "Amy" the 5th grade classroom pet Guinea Pig over the weekend. James took this picture of Jonathan holding her. Precious.
My kids had a blast checking out the crawfish...
Ready to be cooked...
And seasoned...
Getting after it...
These two were hilarious... couldn't get enough... what a blast!
Monday evening we gave in to our usual weakness (apparently not having had enough over the weekend)... Dairy Queen... what can I say?!.
Meanwhile, this sweet boy has fallen ill to the flu. :-( He came home from school Monday 'not himself'. He slept on the sofa and eventually I made him a special bed in the guest room. Tuesday morning he was running a high fever.
A quick trip to the doctor brought the result of influenza... boo.
After resting and watching a couple movies, he came out around 4 PM starving (I had to carry him to the table, although you probably couldn't tell from his smile in this picture)... Earlier he'd passed out in the checkout line at Target!!! I was unloading our cart full of things like toilet paper, kleenexes, juice, etc.. when he suddenly made a grunt noise and slinked to the floor (quite gracefully I might add)... I had to carry the poor baby and put him in my cart... His fever rose sharply before bed, but we got him cooled down again... He is the sweetest patient I've ever seen BUT I hope he wakes up in the morning much better! :)
Victoria was too cute doing her homework outside. I had to sweep and scrub the table from all the pollen first...
The kids gathered around papa after dinner to see pictures on his phone... I just had to take a picture of the cuteness...
Here is a random treat: an old video of Joshua shortly after he came home from Ethiopia. He'd just watched the movie "Annie". He loved the music in it and tried to sing "It's a Hard Knock Life" but only knew the word "for us!" Enjoy! This is priceless!
