Trying to Memorize Scripture

In recent days, I've been convicted of the need to be saturated in the Word.  My heart resonates with the psalmist who writes in 119:129-136,

"Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments. Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your way with those who love your name. Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Redeem me from man's oppression, that I may keep your precepts. Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statures. My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep your law."

The Lord has provided a dear friend who is willing to be a Scripture memory accountability partner with me.  In addition to the passage above we are working on Romans 8.  Wow.  What a passage.  Want to join us on our journey?

Hey Kimberly,
I memorized Romans 8 several years ago when my father-in-law was still my pastor. He spent Sunday nights one spring teaching from the book of Romans, and challenged everyone to memorize chapter 8. It was challenging, but so good to participate with brothers and sisters in Christ. I plan to work on it again now that you have encouraged me to do so! Let me know how it goes -- Julie
