Heading Home Soon...

Some pictures from today's visit ...
Angela and James working on a craft we brought...
James and Papa...
Today's snack was ICE CREAM...

They LOVE feeding each other and make quite a game of it...
It was great entertainment...
Today we found out that we ARE leaving Zapporizhia tomorrow (Tuesday) - woo hoo!  When we told the kids we were taking them tomorrow they all asked, "Forever?"  To which we replied with excitement, "Forever!"  We are hopeful their passports will be ready by 1 PM... if not, they will be expedited to us back in Kiev.  This way we can go ahead and get the remaining paperwork finished on Wednesday and Thursday.  Currently, (as I type) we are working on booking flights  back to the U.S. for FRIDAY (5/15)!!!  Tony and I went out for dinner after all our errands feeling like it was Christmas eve!

We have quite the adventure ahead of us...  We have tickets for the 7:25 PM overnight train for the SIX of us tomorrow evening back to Kiev.  That is prayer request #2... The first prayer request would be that the passports WOULD be there tomorrow at 1 PM.  Once we make it back to Kiev (6 AM Wednesday), we will get checked into our new flat, freshen up, grab some breakfast and then head to begin the paperwork chase (visas and medical evaluations).  Please pray for a smooth process with paperwork AND for the children as they experience all these things.  Pray for patience, good behavior, sweet laughter, wisdom and discernment as we begin our forever family.  Hoping to be back on American soil friday!  You may not see another post from us until Wednesday or Thursday with all that lies ahead.  We will post again as soon as we're able.  Thanks again for all your prayers and love!

That is great that you have the end in sight!

If by some chance you don't have the passports in hand, you could start the paperwork process at the embassy with the passport numbers. We had to do that. Our daughter's passport was in Lughansk (the farthest east you can get in Ukraine) while we were in Kiev waiting.

Best wishes for a speedy finish!
