What a treat to have a mini-vacation to New England with my husband and best friend. He is speaking at a collegiate conference here friday and saturday, so we decided to come in a little early to enjoy a little retreat. Tony's parents made this possible for me by driving down from Kentucky to watch our children for us. What a blessing! God is so gracious to us...
Here are a few sights from our thursday...
Below was our view this morning from our hotel room (The Clarion Nantasket Beach Resort)....
We drove downtown (with our wonderful tour guide, host & friend Chris James), parked at the Boston Commons, and grabbed a bagel with coffee before really hitting the pavement... Park Street Church...
Some heroes of our country...
We returned for dinner on the water at Joe's... I devoured Lobster Ravioli with Shrimp... Yum....
Paul Revere's house...
The Old North Church...
Gorgeous array of colors...
After eating lunch in Cambridge at "Fire & Ice" we walked around the campus of Harvard University...
You cannot go to Boston and not visit Fenway Park! Go Sox! Next time we'll actually have to go to a game...
One of my favorite sights is the city lights at night...
