"T" is for "Tired" and "Tuesday's"

I don't know what it is about Tuesdays but they have become the most tiresome day of the week for me... Thankfully, we implemented a weekly schedule change to help prioritize our weekly activities. That seemed to help a little today... Kids enjoyed the schedule change, which will fully be realized come the end of the week... no more full day of gymnastics on Thursdays... just after school homework and playtime that day... That will be a nice break...

Amidst our settling in to the new year, there are some new projects I'm working on (you might even call them goals)... one of which is becoming more proactive with the kids' various schools and classrooms. I barely remember the fall... strangely a blur... I returned from our holiday in Virginia feeling refreshed (despite an ear infection that two rounds of antibiotics still hasn't quite cleared up)... it is amazing how that refreshment came and went... ha ha... I'm also attempting to buckle down on some music projects... to center in on some ministry and mission projects as well. I struggle with wanting to do it all... a tendency of mine even before we had children... ha ha... a daily activity of seeking wisdom on what is for now and what goes on the shelf for later...

I'm so grateful that you would even take the time to check in on us through this blog. I'm even more grateful for those of you who continue to lift us up in prayer. God is so good, always at work and using people like you to fill us up as we seek to live faithful lives for His glory... This is a busier than normal week for me and your specific prayers for God's grace to walk it would be appreciated... :)

"The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
Psalm 145:14-18

Psalm 145 is one of my favorite psalms, if not my favorite... Isn't it good to know that the Lord is near to all who call on him? That He is the Satisfier of our souls?!... Jesus alone satisfies, and for that reason alone can we have peace when we feel like we're surviving from one thing to the next...

Here are some ways you can pray specifically... Please pray...

* that God would grant me discernment as a mother for the needs of my children
* that I would be a better nurturer to my children (material for a later blogpost)
* for quality time with each of my children, and especially my husband & best friend :)
* for a couple music projects I'm working on (discipline to finish)
* for a women's retreat in New Orleans this weekend at which I will be leading the musical worship... that the Word would be central and Christ Jesus would be exalted

Thank you.

Now, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:13
