Loving Orphans in Sudan

Countless orphaned children live in Southern Sudan, one of Africa's harshest places. Harvesters Reaching the Nations (HRTN) is a nonprofit, nondenominational, faith-based organization committed to educating and caring for the orphans of Sudan.

What can I do to help?
TFS Worldwide (Tony & I have the honor of serving on their board of directors) is working in partnership with their home church, Mount Ararat, to coordinate the effort of filling a 40 foot sea container full of greatly-needed supplies for Harvesters Orphanages in South Sudan. We are looking for donations of hundreds of different items from clothing to books, tools to school supplies, kitchen and sewing items.

TFSW is looking for churches, bible study groups, clubs, small groups, families and individuals who are willing to join them in sending this big box of love to Harvesters. The sea container will be loaded with all the goods it takes to operate the two Harvesters orphanages, the Harvesters school, and the brand new medical clinic opening in June 2011 on the Yei compound for the next year.

Here is ONE need I'm focusing on...
Twin Sheets Sets & Blankets (not white)

Two members of our TBC family will be spending a couple months with Harvestors this summer: Nicholas T. & Ben B. Please be in prayer for them as they prepare to go love orphans in Sudan. Will you join them in meeting this physical need?

I do wish Sudan allowed international adoptions.
I am glad that charity does nice things for those orphans.
