The month of May so far...

It may take me awhile to figure out how to order my pictures with the new blogger set up.  In the meantime, here is a semi out of order glimpse at the past several days of May...
I had the blessing of keeping my sister's three kids for an extended weekend.  Soli entertained me for a good 30 minutes impersonating Indiana Jones and other monologues...
James graduated from the D.A.R.E. program at school and received a t-shirt, baseball cap and this certificate of achievement... he was rightly proud :-)
Their school is celebrating graduating 5th graders.  Can you find James on the bulletin board? (You might need a magnifying glass, ha)...
Joshua loves to play Memory.  Yep, he beat me, though only by one... he's not competitive at all (*insert sarcasm:-)
Preparing for baseball practice sporting his Tiger team spirit (for his dad) and "Nattitude" (for his mom)...
 Too cool for school...
Seemingly random insert here, BUT wanted to say again how proud I am of my 3 younger sisters, particularly my baby sis who served a decade or so including a couple deployments in the Army.  Thank you for your service.  Congratulations on the closing of one career chapter and the opening of a new one! May our Gracious God guide you and your family in this new season for His name sake!
As mentioned previously, I met my sister, Priscilla, half way last Friday to pick up her kiddos.  Lil' D was showing me his recently lost tooth (his first to go so far)...
We had a smooth exchange and nice drive both on Friday and again on Tuesday (4 days later)...

Once we made it on Friday, we got everyone settled in, freshened up and then we (Tony and I) headed into Raleigh for the Bethany Christian Services Annual Spring Banquet (thanks to Jenni & Ellen for braving the babysitting of 8 kids adventure!!!!)...
Met some great people and made new friends...

Woke up Saturday to not 5 but 8 kids running around our house...

Some of these next pictures are a little out of order... flashing back to the pick up and drive on Friday...
 Izzy riding without training wheels...
Warming up with Uncle Tone Tone after a swim...

The meeting place: Burger King in Florence, SC (with a great outdoor playground)...
Ready or not, here we go!

Getting read for Saturday ball practice...
Grandma and PopPop came down from Virginia to spend the weekend with us... grilling out extravaganza...

Sunday evening, we went out with our growth group to the Durham Bulls game...

Take me out to the ball game...
 Cousins...
 Hotdogs and cotton candy...

 Our crazy ballgame crew...
 Learning to roller blade...

Building a fort with lawn chairs...

A little R & R (or an attempt at one, ha ha)...
 Homework on Monday...

Wednesday, life getting back to normal...
We walked the other way to school (which has sidewalks the whole time) in order to avoid the tall grass and ticks...
Chillin' out together Wednesday evening after a great family meal and fellowship...
 and bath time...
 Joshua took these two pictures...

5 kids is so much easier than 8! Ha ha... BUT we had such a wonderful weekend and praise God for family!
