Mississippi Army National Guard Community Send Off TODAY at TBC

It was early Monday morning here in Ukraine when I originally posted this blog.  We were preparing to travel back to Kiev (approximately 7-8 hours northwest) for the night in order to only be an hour from the region we need to petition for 3 or our 4 children's birth certificates Tuesday (when things reopen).  We made it to Brovary (just outside Kiev) by 1 PM, got checked into our hotel, rested and then met friends for dinner.  Please pray for continued safety in travel and success tomorrow in retrieving the appropriate documents.  If all goes well, we will catch the overnight train back to Zapporizhia Tuesday night. Thank you...

On a different note.... As the daughter of a retired Army officer, sister to an officer who just returned from 15 months deployment to Iraq and sister-in-law to an Army chaplain I cannot but share that my thoughts and prayers are especially with Company B, 106th Brigade Support Battalion, 155th Brigade Combat Team of the Mississippi Army National Guard and their families as they prepare for deployment in June.  May our Mighty God grant you grace and strength as you serve our country!   I've snagged some photos our Missions' Pastor, Philip Slusher, took earlier.  Please pray for these soldiers and their families...

"For it is You who light my lamp; the LORD my GOd lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.  This God - His way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him."  Psalm 18:28-30

Dear Kimberly,
My wife, Marina is very waiting to speak with your new children as she is fluent in English, Ukranian, and Russian and tell them what it is like to come to the America without knowing the language and customs etc. - first hand. We hope you were successfull in obtaining the birth certificates. Your decision to adopt four children from the same family is wonderful and we pray that it will bring you much joy and personal satisfaction too.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
